Welcome To The Busy Bird Family Bluegrass Festival The Dates: July 10th, 11th & 12th 2009.
My name is Terry (Kithcart) Patrick. I play in the bluegrass group "Plexigrass" Our Mother loved bluegrass music, and enjoyed going to festivals. She often said she wanted us to have our own festival, so with her help we started the festival in 2004. She was a wonderfull Mom and had a great personality, and very well liked. We (the Kithcart Children) in Honor of our Mother, named the festival after her. Her maiden name was Bird and she was Busy raising 9 children. Her niece and nephews called her Aunt Busy, which then led to, Busy Bird. That is how the festival name came about. She enjoyed the Festival very much. She was only able to attend the first festival, because she passed away in Jan. 2005. She was loved by all and we miss her deeply, but her memory and name live on through the festival.

Rt. 38 North just out side of the town of Newark Valley turn right at the yellow flashing light by the High School,onto Wilson Creek Rd. Go 3 miles and then turn right onto Ketchumville Rd. and the festival is on your left.
Rt. 38 South after you go through Berkshire turn left at the yellow flashing light by the High School, turn left onto Wilson Creek Rd.and go 3 miles and then turn right onto Ketchumville Rd and the festival will be on your left side.

Food Concesion all week/end - Breakfast - lunch and dinner/ reasonalble priceS. Chicken BBQ on Sat at Noon. Ice Cream sold, several flavors - Hot fudge sundays, ect... Handicap parking / wheel chair excesable bathroom, Cover will be privided, bring your lawn chairs.
All dogs must be on leashes all times
children must be supervised
no open fires: fire rings will be provided for you so it is contained.
This festival is family oriented so please remember your maners.
